Every situation is different. Everyone has different needs and abilities. A roll-in shower can provide the answer for a person that wants to have a shower but may have difficulty ambulating or not have the endurance to stand in a shower. A roll-in shower that is wheelchair accessible may be the answer. Maybe a shower with a small curb and a bench would be the answer. Maybe you need grab bars to provide that extra security. A hand-held shower head and adjustable handle is a nice addition to any shower and a necessary addition to a shower for someone with special needs.

In most cases, an existing bathroom can be retrofitted with some sort of Curbless Shower. Again, size and configuration must be designed for the specific need. Roll-in showers can be constructed from ceramic tile, cultured marble or pre-manufactured composite materials.
